I have recently begun working on a 1930 Universal 1 1/2 ton Truck. The front tires are in good shape, although very old, they are measured as 30-5 tires. The rear tires are 6.50-20. I would like to get new tires for both front wheels and a spare for the rear. But I have a few questions. Are the rims that the front and rear tires are mounted to the same? They appear to be. Also, what would be the correct size of a modern tire to fit on the front. And what would be correct for the rear?

I also have a 1928 "Jitterbug" and the set up on the Universal appears to be the same, but I am not sure.

Coker Tire sells tires for your rig. Check with them. Also flaps, tubes, and if needed valve stems.

The modern replacement for the 30X5 is 6.00 - 20. Many suppliers for that size.
