Just a quick question on a 1932 Coach. I packed my front wheel bearings yesterday. I set up the bearings like I would a tapered bearing, but there is some in/out play. My question, is it normal for some play? I feel the bearings are the correct tightness. Steve.

Per the repair manual, tighten the retaining nut until the parts are seated, undo it until there is a slight wobble and tighten to the first cotter pin slot. Should be no play but rotate freely.
