When I was looking at some vender catalogs i seen rubber trim listed for fenders for 28 2-dr coaches.I noticed that there is no such trim on my coach any where. When i removed my rear fenders there was no evidence that there ever was rubber trim between the body and fenders.my coach has never been dismantled. My question is --is there rubber trim between the fenders ?

And those cute little rubber pads under the headlights, cowl lights, tail lights, etc., etc. also were not originally used either.

When I took apart my 31 truck running boards there wa a residue of some type of cork stripping. Is this original or put in later for sound ?

31,
Your truck had beaded fender welting along the fenders and the inside of the running board, splash apron attachment. There was an insulating (anti squeek) fabric between the running board ends and the fenders. It is like the beaded welting with the bead removed.
