One of the most unforgettable "characters" in our hobby was Pinky Randall. Mr. Chevrolet to virtually everyone and a life long Chevy enthusiast, expert and restorer. A Past President of the AACA and someone that was beloved by everyone. Pinky was also a National Awards judge and did those jobs with distinction. We will miss his jokes, his passion for the hobby and Chevrolet.

He passed away Sunday after a very long life.

The family is still making arrangements as we speak. I will add to this thread once their wishes are made known.

I did not have the privilege / opportunity to meet Pinky.
I was just watching a video when Pinky drove the last autographed Impala off the assembly line.
A wealth of information, may Pinky R.I.P.

I first met Pinky in about 1975. I was new to the Chevrolet hobby and VCCA. He could not have been nicer. He never thought of himself as a "Big Shot". A loss for our club and hobby, for sure.

I met Pinky years ago at a small car show here in Dade City Fla. He was a "snowbird" came down in the winter for a couple of months. I had my '64 Corvair convertible on display and you would think that it was a 100 point car the way he raved about it.If I could have moved the car we would have went for a ride.
We will all miss the one and only Mr.Chevrolet. R.I.P.

I am saddened to read this. I spoke with Pinky over the phone just a few weeks ago chasing down a part. As always, he was eager to help and full of wisdom. May Pinky now Rest In Peace and rise in glory!

Knew Pinky for a long time. Talked to him at Hershey and a couple of Anniversary Meets. Such a nice guy, always took time to tale to you. He recently sold a vehicle to the Museum in Flint but I can't remember what it was. We sure will miss him.
