"Up for sale is one of the rarest RV's around. There is only one other in existence. This is a 1960 Chevrolet C60 that was outfitted with a "Roaming Home" RV kit which basically converted it to a RV.
It has a Chevy Inline 6 and a 3 speed manual transmission. All the lights in the RV work. The interior is in pretty decent shape but does need a little work here and there. The RV does run and drive great, but will need a new radiator as it gets a little hot. For sale price we will fix this.
The RV has brand new tires, a new water pump, new battery, entire braking system, and new heater hoses/radiator hoses. The front seats are from a B52 bomber which are very cool!
This thing is extremely rare and I have only seen one other one for sale and that was years ago. This is an awesome chance to own an incredible piece of automotive history and stand out at the RV park. It wouldn't take much to get this thing reliable and back on long road trips..."

So, I just bought one of these... Im in Tucson AZ and my understanding is the company was actually based out of Tucson and built them to suit back in the day with various options etc. Ill have to figure out how to attach pics on the site

For what it is worth the headlight bezels look like Corvair truck units, which did not appear until '61. They are exactly the same used on '60 Corvairs. Corvair Ed VCCA#47508 Dade City,Fla
I find it very interesting that this old post suddenly became active again. Not being a believer in coincidence I expect that Motorsport1 bought the vehicle that was advertised in 2019. It might have sold in 2019 and he bought it from that owner.
Both Peter (the original poster) and Motorsport1 are in Tucson. The company that originally made them was in Tucson.
They look like they might be functional in today's world except for the six might be a little under powered. I am assuming it was a 261 instead of a 235. With today's technology it might be able to get enough horsepower to make it keep up with today's traffic.
Can you imagine the attention one would get at a VCCA show? There are several other motor homes with Chevrolet power. Can you imagine getting several at one spot? They would draw a crowd!
Thanks for the picture. I agree that those are not the same vehicle.
I also agree with Chipper’s assessment of the performance capability even if it is a 261. The 292 was not introduced until 1963 based on what I can determine.
Being based on a C60 2 ton chassis it would have a 261 - if it was realy a 1960. Speedometer cluster is 1955-1959 truck. The 292 truck engine came out in 1963 and was an enlarged version of the 194-230 7 main bearing modern engine. I would suspect it had a 4 speed floor shift trasmission.
What class would it be in for judging? Would potty lid have to be up or down?
