Don,

Do you have the paint charts 1932? If not, click on this link 1932 Chevy Paint It lists the names of the colors and areas on the car for paint. You should be able to find paint chips.

I HAVE TALKED TO THE VCCA PAINT ADVISOR, AND ALSO PINKY RANDALL, AND OTHERS FAMILIAR WITH PAINT FOR CHEVROLETS AND HAVE BEEN TOLD THERE IS NO FORMULA FOR THE PINSTRIPE COLORS.I THINK THAT JUST LIKE THE JUNKYARD DOG SAID,IF IT CALLED FOR GOLD, JUST PICK OUT THE SHADE GOLD YOU WANT AND GO FOR IT,OR ANY OTHER COLOR YOUR CAR CALLS FOR.JUST DONT PICK A MODERN COLOR PAINT THAT HAS METALLIC IN IT. :) :) chevy chevy :) :)

WOW, JUST A LITTLE FOLLOW UP ON THE PINSTRIPPING I GOT DONE LAST WEEK ON MY 32. THE STRIPPER DONE TWO COLORS FOR MY CAR, GOLD AND SAINT GERMAIN RED. HIS STRIPPING PAINT COLORS RIGHT OUT OF THE CAN IS WHAT WE USED AND THEY WERE THE RIGHT COLORS FOR MY CAR. THE 32 COUPE HAS ALOT OF STRIPPING TO IT AND IT TOOK HIM ALMOST SIX HOURS TO DO IT. HE DOES MOSTLY STREET RODS AND DID NOT REALIZE HOW TEDIOUS IT WAS TO DO MY CAR.IT REALLY FINISHED THE CAR FOR LOOKS AND I COULDNT BE ANY HAPPIER WITH THE JOB HE DID. COST, FOUR HUNDRED DOLLARS. NOW TO FINE TUNE EVERYTHING AND START DRIVING THE CAR. yipp yipp auto :cool2: :) :)

Don,

Glad to hear that the pinstripping is done. Go back to 1931 and 32 paint colors

I just re-read it and it shows names of colors for body (upper/lower), stripe, and wheels.

The sheet lists St. Germain Red, but like you mentioned before, I see no reference for the Gold color.

Regards,

Jim M.
