If anyone has a 1938 1/2 ton pickup I would appreciate if you could take a picture of the clutch linkage. (Pedal to clutch fork.) I don’t know exactly what to look for to try and find. I would think there would be an offset rod and at least one other linkage plus a spring. Thank you. Terry terrycatching@gmail.com

Do you have a shop manual? All of the vendors sell them if you don't. I don't know if it's the same as the car but my 38 coupe has a chain that activates the fork. Any pics I have are on my other computer which is off until tomorrow. Fig. 118 might help.

Thanks a million. Yes I do have the truck shop manual, but it doesn’t show the linkage. I have seen the photis you mentioned 118 that shows the cars. My pickup has a large round hook shape on the bottom of the pedal and a similar hook shape at the end of the clutch fork. I guess it could have a chain connecting, but it looks like there would have to be something l like an offset rod between since they are side by side about 2” separate. I’m going to have to try to find someone who has a pickup and can take a pic for me.
My manual is for both and only shows the chain. I've not heard of anything other than a chain being used. I found the one picture I have of mine. It's factory original. Good luck.

Hey thank you sir! Actually the informative thing about your pic you shared is that there is in fact an offset rod that the chain link hooks into. But my threaded rod that goes thu the end of the clutch fork only has a hook shape on it like the end of the pedal. Is your pic from a 38 Chevy pickup like I have?
Thanks I think my pickup is probably at least similar. The chain link I can make. But I’ll need to find it make the threaded 90 degree offset rod tgat the chain and spring hooks to. Appreciate the help and if you can send a pic great Thank again
