While the above film is nice, the one below is outstanding. Why, because you can see more Chevrolets in it and some wild grille work on the taxies.
You can also spot me sitting in the 1941 Chevrolet cabriolet parked (No. It ain't broke down!) at the 2:43 time mark. Yep that would be me right there alright.
Love the old big city street senes. Odd looking taxi cabs were made by Checker. Remember seeing them when we went to Chicago. Note that there is a 1938 Chevrolet/GMC cab shown. A lot of DeStotos as they made a dedcated taxi as well as the 1941 Packakard in one shot. TheDESotos were the long wheel base 7 passenger models. Great to see all the 1941 cars that were so popular at that time.
