I have two... in Denver, CO so you would need to arrange transportation. One still has the block attached.

Jim,
I am interested but would like to insure that your head fits my 216. It appears that my head casting number 839401 is a’48 or earlier head. I have read the ”˜37 to ”˜48 heads are interchangeable.

What you read was wrong. I think the US head changed somewhere around 1940 or 41, when they went to flat top pistons. The Canadian 216s didn’t change until 1946.

The 1941-1953 216 heads will work. The 1949 and up will use the large 14 MM spark plugs, 1950 and up require 1950 and up valves.

The 839401 was original from 1941-1948.

I will check the year and the numbers tomorrow. Probably 1950. Definetly for a 216.

Both my heads are 3835517 for 1950-1953 216ci. Both come with valves and springs. I have lots of other 1950 216 engine "experienced" parts.
