Will a 118201 voltage regulator work on a 1941 car?

What is the difference between it and a 118301? Well, other than the obvious last numbers of 1 and 3 , I mean.

Thanks,

The 301 replaced the 201 and is correct for a 1941.
Which '41 have you been working on, the new gray one or the old original one?

Gene,

It's for the project car. Just buying some things to make it as complete, with correct stuff, as I can before I put it up for sale. Which will be soon.

Are you saying the 201 is okay for the 41? I have a nice 201 but order a factory rebuild Delco off ebay last night.

Thanks a heap for you reply

When it left the factory in 1941 it would have had a 201. If it was replaced with a new and improved version after 1948 it would be a 301.
