I have performed a search for water pumps and to no avail. It seems somewhere on this site a discussion was held on the issue of replacing the original packing type water pump with a modern version that did not use packing. My water pump is trash. Is there a source for a modern water pump without the packing, and possibly with an enclosed impeller that would render the use of the baffle obsolete? Thank you. Steve

I don't remember of ever seeing anything about a ball bearing pump for pre-1937....In one thread I stated that the original 1937-early 1938 pumps had bushings and after a short while only the ball bearing pump was used for replacement.Perhaps thats what your think of.

Used 1932 water pumps are fairly easy to obtain. They are advertised for sale in the G&D quite often, and there are also several dudes on this side that have them in stock. laugh laugh laugh
