I am rebuilding everything on my truck, and it would seem foolish to ignore the center hanger bearing. My truck has the 137" wheelbase and although the bearing assembly seems to look OK, I don't trust it. Where could I get it rebuilt and who would carry the parts, including the dirt shields, the rubber mounting and the the bearing assembly ? I am thinking that this is not a job for me because I don't own a press.

My 1951 1 Ton is now on the road! My 38 Master 4 Door is also now on the road .

You probably wont need a press. The bearing is more than likely available at most parts stores but the rubber mount could be a different story. The tin dust shields generally dont wear and therefore only need cleaning up.
The assembly is generally held together with a big nut behind the universal joint and will come apart with careful use of a hammer and pin punch

1938 1/2 ton Hope to drive it before I retire
