Have an electrical issue with my 30 Sedan. Have cowl lights and tailight, brake light also. Have 5.7 volts at the headlight connector on one pin only on both driver and passenger side. Dimmer switch is new. Wiring is new. When dimmer switch is actuated I have nothing. Also tested the bulbs and they are good.
Any ideas ?

Check the grounding of the headlight bar and headlights by temporarily running a wire from the reflectors to the negative terminal on the battery. If they come on they were not grounded properly.

check for power from the switch terminals to dipper switch and then to headlights. I suspect either the headlight switch or a bad connection. Tony

You should have more than 5.7V. I'd think that it should be above 6V.
I'm thinking that something isn't connected right. Something like the two filaments are somehow connected in series and when you hit the dimmer, nothing is connected.
