Getting to the point I need to be thinking on installing new brake lining on my "47". Back in 1970 when I did the first restoration on this car the brand of shoes I used squealed so much I yanked them off and tried another brand. Noise gone and I had better brakes !! I assumed the first set was made using a hard material and the second set was made of using softer material. Of course I don't remember the brand names now.
Any suggestions/advise toward what brand now available would be made with using softer material than others or how do I find that answer before buying? Mileage isn't a factor in my decision making but squealing and better stopping distance is.
Appreciate any input on this subject.
