I've got a 33 Master Coupe. Does anyone know of an easy way to oil the throwout bearing? I just can't see how one is supposed to be able to shoot oil into the small oil cup from the window in the housing. Everytime I try it I miss and I'm afraid I will ruin the clutch friction disc.

Put a longer hose on the oil can.

I use a pump oil can with a longer flexible spiral metal spout.

Be careful because you can over-oil the bearing. And then it will get on the disc.

Thanks. I'll check around to see if I can find a longer spout that is small enough to fit in the cup.

Flexible spout oil can

This is what I used. There are also some available with longer spouts. The rounded tip fits nicely into the hole in the throw-out bearing.

You are welcome! That's why we all participate in this forum. There is no need to "re-invent the wheel'. We know we have to fix them, but this forums reduces the painful learning curve.

Gene....My car does have the oiler. I just had trouble trying to get oil into it. Thanks.
