Hello, anyone have any information/patterns/advice for wood for a 1929 roadster? Are any of the wood parts such as the main sill assembly universal or used on other 29 models?
Thanks,
Chuck

Cabboy has been doing a 29 sedan and the sills should be similar. You can PM him. Last time time I spoke with Bill Cartwright of KC Wood, he had some wood for 29’ chevy. If there is wood that is usable for patterns, most can be duplicated by those with some cabinetry skills and decent tools. My own woodworking skills come from advanced classes of industrial arts that I took in high school 40 years ago and by just making my own furniture. I successfully recreated all the wood in my 32’ Olds by what was there and by photos. It can be done.

Open car and closed body wood used in 1929 is different in most all aspects. My website is www.automotivewoodbodies.com.
