Original SS 327-275h,PG, Red/Red,currently black. Taking down to media blast. Known needs; windshield, front buckets, console and shifter(PG), & front suspension pieces. Unknown awaiting discovery. Current plan to bring back to basically stock. Have running, original 327-275h & PG from 66 Impala, concerned about oil filter housing notes on block casting information pages, possible install conflict? Also, any experience with the Global West kits for the stock front suspension setup?

If your running an automatic any small block will fit. You may need to run the short filter (51069 wix). If you have the original block i recomend you use it or at least hold onto it till you can restore it back to it's original status. As for the front suspension, this sight does not cater to hot rodding. It's for the restoration & preservation of Chevrolet vehicles

are you talking about there urethane bushings for the stock suspension?they work ok but are a little harsher ride than stock but it will corner better, you will have to decide if its worth it.

You'll need to use a Nova V-8 oil pan and oil pump if you are using the 66 Impala block. I use an AC PF-25 filter on my 66 ss Nova, but tough to get on and off with single exhaust. No problem with dual system. Many parts available through the Nova Club.

The front-sump pan/pickup combo also requires a Nova V8 oil pump shaft - it's a slightly different length.

If you use an original Nova V8 oil pan, the dip-stick will be on the driver's side. You'll need to use a piece of round steel stock of some type to block the 'regular' dip-stick hole on the passenger's side.
