No good deed goes unpunished.

I updated the forum software, add a secure certificate and change the domain name in January. The changes gave us better image handling, a slew of additional minor features, and it removed some vulnerabilities in the forum software. All good things! However, after thinking the update worked great... email notifications stopped working! 3 hosts, 100s of emails and a little praying... and in the last few days emails mysteriously started working again! So, back to status quo, at least for now.

I was just about ready to switch to new forum software to address the problems, but that of course would have created other problems. Still may do the switch to new softward, but can be more systematic about it now. I'll keep you posted.

Thanks for your diligence and efforts. I can only imagine how frustrating it was for you.

Even worse is that you now have the same experience that we have with our cars. Something that was not working suddenly starts working so now what to do? Be happy and move on or work that it is not really fixed?
