took 41 out for its first run in 3 year restore. hand brake is sticking and not even using. seams like cables are short. everything measures correct but only able to get the nuts on cables to about three turns. cant figure out why cables seem short. think spring by arm is not right or just not tight enough.any ideas will help.no problem with hand brake cables removed. just do not want to drive with out.

Are your cables reproductions? Originals? NOS?. When you refer to "nuts", What is the arrangement? are they yokes? Can you post couple of photos?
