That's Ford Model T and Model A, BTW, driving the '33 roadster. A bunch of fords parked in a retirement home parking lot, I slowly cruised through and scoped out the cars.

Some of the people there looked at my car like It was a cockroach on a wedding cake. Maybe it's because my Chev was nicer that any Fords there. LOL Quite the crusty bunch.

Very cool! Great way to be 'in their face'. ;-)

In a similar vein, I'm taking Lurch to the Concours D'Lemons near Pebble Beach on August 25th. This show is part of the auto week festivities there. Should be fun!

Cheers, Dean

all you have to do is open then close your door for that fisher body click thunk sound.. also applies to roadster and phaeton non fisher bodies. Those T's and A's sound like tin cans with that BOING sound

I the same vein..I parked my 54 wagon in the Corvette line at the local Sat. Nite show.. Was told immediately to move my car..After I told them the history of their little plastic cars and that I owned a 1954 Corvette that just happened to use the same engine as my 54...Things got verrrry Quite

people with great credit who own PLASTIC FANTASTICS can be a little uppity .

Think of it like this, you got them to be quiet and that's a most difficult thing with owners of plastic fantastics.

Latest version of the venerable plastic fantastic , it just made all their pre 2018 old.

SOME Vette guys seem to have forgotten that Corvettes are Chevrolets

I joined a local Corvette club once. It was really disappointing. I was picturing guys spending weekends restoring rare old cars and wanted part of that. Instead guys just traded $100k cars like baseball cards and had other people maintain and even wash their cars. I was hoping for a group of guys like we find on this site...

I belong to a local Corvette club lots of good people and the club donates to some local charities. We have travelled a lot over the years with the Corvette, main difference between VCCA tours and Corvettes, VCCA we drive slow and eat Corvettes we drive fast and eat.
PS I know some Corvette snobs as well as some VCCA snobs.

Back in the early/mid '70s Corvette clubs were guys who got together and did things like change cams, install headers, and drink beer. Sometime in the late 1980s, they were replaced mostly by people who bought new cars, but didn't work on them.

Some Corvette people don't recognize a Corvette made before 1996 as a Corvette.

I have some good friends, both in and outside of the VCCA, who own Corvettes. They all take my Corvette teasing with good spirit. They like to "dish out" in my direction also.
I like the '63-'67 models. Mostly I look at them and dream a little, then happily get in my '36 truck or '35 coupe, and go home. Ahhh, life in the slow lane.
