What years of cars share the same steering box as the '32?

The Chevrolet parts book shows 1931 and 1932 as the same.

If you don't have a 1929-32 Chevrolet parts book you might want to get one. You will find it extremely useful. You can purchase one from the Filling Station.

What are called "parts books" here are actually labeled as "Master price lists" by Chevrolet.

I have been spoiled by playing with Studebakers for the past 40 years. Studebakers parts manuals illustrate very part of every assembly down to lock nuts and cotter pins. If a part was NLA the Studebaker manual noted that.

These Chevrolet manuals are, in my opinion, poorly illustrated, and if a part is no longer available, it simply disappears from the "parts" book because (obviously) if NLA, there won't be a price listed.

Tom, we have to work with what is available. As poorly illustrated as they are, they are still a wealth of information.

For the 29-32 the Master Parts Price list dated August 1932 is much better illustrated than the earlier February 1932 one. Also I have found that some reprints are not complete.
