The four lock piller bumpers on my 31 4dr sedan has a machine screw with a tapered washer.I called the filling station and was told the 31 used wood screws.I sent steve some pics and he still says the 31 had wood screws. All eight of mine are machine threads and the pillers are tapped?

Perhaps the wood screw holes were stripped out and instead of the old trick of driving in a glue covered dowel, a P.O. probably put in thread inserts for wood. Now you have machine threaded screws where wood screws used to be. If they are holding without issue, no one will ever know or see the difference.
