The coil on the firewall has the positive coming in the top (what i would call the bottom) of the coil and the hi tension and wire to points coming out the bottom (what I would call the top) of the coil.

Are these even available as replacements? All i see is the normal type 3 wires out the top, coil.

Doug, look for a538z coil. Originals are hard to find but the replacement 538z shows up on eBay from time to time. I'm pretty sure this style is compatible for 33 through 36. Hopefully someone will chime in if I am wrong.

The assm line correct coil is next to impossible to find that are in working condition. Two year only 33/34...Joe
