yes, I know green wheels are not correct for a 1935. recently I have seen photos of '29 and a '31 Chevrolets with green wheels. can anyone give me paint color names for green wire wheels of various years? Ford Apple Green is an old favorite but I would prefer to paint the wheels with a Chevrolet color......

I have a '35 Chevy Std and my first car was my Dads' '34 Master, so I have been around many of that era. The color of the wire wheels on my '35 Coupe is Cream. Depending on the body color, all the wheels I've seen were Black Red, and or Cream. And, if my memory is accurate, I think the pin-sriping usually goes with the wheels!

Those were the three optional colors. On a black car you could have all three. Some colosdidn't have all three choices. On the '34 the fenders were black enamel unless you paid extra for body colored fenders in lacquer.

pin striping? did all Standard Coaches have pin stripes? ours appears to have factory paint but no evidence of a stripe.

The whels did not have a stripe. The raised body belt moulding did.

With reference to your original question on original wheel colors for late 20s early 30s Chevrolets, I ran across the following paint chips in the Technical information section of the VCCA website.
Click on the "Technical Information Members - Resource Library" button along the right side of the VCCA Home page and login. Now click on "Technical Information" along the left side, then click on "Technical Information - All Years". Next click on "Paint Colors 1928-66". Finally select the "1933-Jul1-SheetA4017" for quite a few green wheel color chips used for the previous several years. Some of the other sheet also have green wheel colors, but this one sheet has quite a few.

Danube green light was used on master and std models from Oakland, Calif plant only. It was used on Comb 190 with the body Kingswood Gray.
Apple Green deluxe is listed on 1934 bulletin for Commercial vehicle body colors and Passenger car wire wheel colors. Last page of Bulletin No. 8,9.
