Howdy, I don't know about y'all but I think the drawings in the repair manual for these old cars are pretty dang cool. I recently converted one of the drawings provided in the repair manual for my 1931 to a vector. This means I can scale the image to any size. I intend to make a few of these and have them printed to hang in the garage. This is incredibly tedious work but I think the results are well worth it. I thought I'd share my first drawing conversion and see what you guys think. If y'all like them I will consider sharing more or taking suggestions from you guys. Hope the link to the image works... That particular image is about 11" x 17" but I can make it huge. Here is an example of the drawing in PDF, which will show better resolution upon zoom. Figure 93 PDF

With Acrobat Reader DC current version (checked for updates prior to looking at file), there is a double image. The scanned image and the vectored image. Loads the vectored image first then overlays the scanned image second.

Gentlemen, After a long departure from this project, I am finally able to return to it with some updates. I have completed two more drawings and am working on a fourth! Original Image: Fig. 93 Front Axle AssemblyNumber Two: Fig. 57 Sectional View of ClutchNumber Three: Fig. 176 Lubrication ChartFig. 176 is probably my favorite that I've done. Anyway, I'm glad you guys like these, I'm currently working on Fig. 100 Passenger Car Brake Linkage. After that, I'll have to revisit the manual and find another. Any suggestions?

Thanks for work with the drawings. They are very clean. Best of all one can "zoom In" to make the image larger.

Thanks, guys, I appreciate the enthusiasm, I'll be adding Fig. 100 - Passenger Car Brake Linkage here pretty soon, I actually have it all done, but the figure doesn't include the legend, so I'm going to add that before uploading it. I'll flip through the manual and pick a few more to work on. Junkyard and Oldiron, I appreciate it, yea what's so neat is that I can blow these up really big and then in PDF you can zoom without getting all pixely. Some are certainly easier to do than others (the quality of the clutch vs. the lubrication chart). I can get much more detail out of some than I can from others. Bill, You bet! I'm not sure if the links allow you to download or not but I can email you PDF or JPG versions of these for the 1931chevrolet website, just let me know which is best! Where did you get the drawings of the different models from '31 that are on your website? Those would be really fun to do but I'd need a high-res scan.

CGM While I dont have a 31 those drawings are a good guide for other models though the viewer will have to allow for some differences when working on other models. Keep up the good work. Tony

Hey guys, just finished up another drawing. I put the drawings in their own folder and that's the link below. You should be able to see all four of them with this link. Latest drawing is: Fig. 50 Motor Oiling System 1931 Chevy Repair Manual Drawings
