Hi there and welcome to Chevy Chatter. Glad to have you with us.

The floor (both the floor board and the toe board) between the front seat and the cowl was wood. Those pieces are available from Autowood Restoration in Hanna, Indiana.

For fuel lines, a parts book, and a ton of other parts and literature contact the Filling Station in Lebanon, Oregon. www.fillingstation.com

They also have a hard copy of their catalog available as well.

Good luck with your project!

In my 31 Cabriolet the steering mast is held by a u bolt with an aluminum surround. I can take a picture and send it via email. On the fuel line I bought a roll from NAPA and formed the new line along side the old one. If yours is missing it would be harder. Try calling Autowood in the morning, seemed the best in getting into them. The floor pieces are nice.

The gas line from the tank to the fuel pump was originally plated steel. The 1931 is the same as 1932. The line from fuel pump to carburetor is the same material but different. The 1931 has an updraft carburetor and 1932 downdraft so the lines are very different.

A steel U-bolt with aluminum cover was used for several years in the early 30s to secure the column to the dash.

In fact the 1931 Cabriolet body is basically the same as 1932 with dash, firewall and a few other differences.

My locally owned auto parts store had all the necessary stuff to fabricate a replacement. You will need an inexpensive tube bender but it is not difficult.

The dash on a cabriolet is not the same as a coupe due to the cabriolet windshield. You may be able to make one from a coupe dash but it would be a little work.

The dash is shared with the Landau Phaeton...which doesn't make it any easier to find. Seen some on e-bay over the years...Joe

"The gas line from the tank to the fuel pump was originally plated steel. The 1931 is the same as 1932."

Steve from TFS here. Sorry Chip, I have to disagree with you on this one. Chevrolet changed the routing of the fuel line from 1931 to 1932 passenger cars. The reason was the new cross member and battery tray used on the 1932 chassis.

We have the 1931 & 1932 lines available in both plain steel and stainless - $95.00 & $125.00 respectively. These are special order items and are made to order, sent directly from our supplier to you.
