lil' johnny,
every time I see your name in a thread, there's nothing to read...whazzup? Well, I've got a question for you or whom ever can help. Is there an Online assembly manual for 55 and do you know if it would be close to that of a 1954 if it existed? If so, where can one locate it? Thanks in advance for the help!

EDITED

Ebay item number 2443978977

And no 54 is not the same as a 55, 56,57. but is almost like a 55 first series, what part do you need to assemble?

Well actually I'm reassembling the entire car, just kinda following the same path that I went down in reverse during disassembly....just thought my reassembly process might be enhanced by some educated 'been there done that' folks. Been searching for any info that might shed some light on my frame up restoration.

Bryon, I have one of the 1955 thru 1959 Chevrolet truck assembly manuals and it is very valuable when assemblying a truck from scratch. It also details where and how many clips and clamps are used things not detailed in any other manuals I have found. The eBay item number I posted is for one currently running on eBay, The buy it now price is about what you could expect to pay this vendor when it is ordered from their ads in Hemming Motor News.

Hi Byron,

Perhaps a shop manual would be of some help to you. Call 1-800-841-6622 and order Part # DG-7 ($20.00 plus shipping).

There is also an Accessory Installation Manual that was a great help to me when working on the last of the 6-volt models.

I guess I'm at fault 'cause I initiated the question in reference to the topic. Sorry for the confusion, maybe I should just read responses instead of ask questions. Again I apologise for any inconveniences I have caused.

Byron, no fault on your end, when you asked if 54 and 55 were the same I started thinking of trucks since the 55 1st series truck has the old Advance body and didn't change till later in the model year, the forum title Chevrolet 1955-1960 could be a truck as well as a CAR!
and you were talking 55 and also 54
Now I understand you have a 54 car, drop over to the 49 to 54 forum and talk about it all you want to!
