Can the pitman/sector shaft bushings and seals be replaced without removing the steering box from the car, a 1950 sedan?

Looks like no one is going to reply so I will. The answer is yes but they are much easier to work on the bench. One bushing is in the cap so that is easy enough. The one in the housing you should be able to pull after you remove the shaft and seal with a puller. You should also be able to drive it into the housing and remove through it. If I were doing it I would pull the box. Hope this helps, John
