Our driver side door locks from the inside by lifting the door handle in the clockwise direction. The passenger side door locks with a key from the outside. We cannot however, lock the passenger door from inside like the driver side. Is this the way its supposed to work ?
Thank you all for your help.

Sounds good to me! You might want to get a 1931 Owner's Manual because that information is in the manual.
