I would say the same as a 150 or 210 trunk.
There is no mention of anything different in the parts books and it agrees with my memory. I have a factory pictures but most are from the front or of 6 cylinder models.
Vern Franz will give a more positive reply.

Hood is correct... silver V and Chevrolet Script...

Its a Sedan Delivery.. so of course a 150....

What I have on the rear.. and all seems to be original...
Is the Chrome surround with place for your fingers to lift the one piece door.. and the emblem.. which seems identical to the grill bars emblem...

Guess what I wonder is was there any indication from the rear that a Sedan Delivery was a V8?

I know this one was because the VIN is VD57J#####

As I mentioned above it would be the same as the trunk of an 8 cylinder 150 or 210. That would be the chrome script and V.

Guess I need a photo.. and some EBAY shopping............

Maybe somewhere along the line it was repaired with a 6 cylinder Sedan Delivery rear door?

Give me a day or two. I am going to a swap meet tomorrow and there will be a 55-57 expert there that I know....and will ask him.

Perfect!!!

Much appreciated... even if I find pictures on line...

These cars are so easy to swap parts around on...
and not many people know or care what's right....

My rear door looks original...
but maybe its a 57 SD 6 cylinder door...
Or even a SD door off of a 55 or 56?

Sure don't see any signs of damage or anyone monkeying around with the emblem.. but then....LOL

Two things for sure..
its a V8 57 Sedan Delivery... VD57J####
and its a one piece sedan delivery rear door...

Ask him if anyone has a clue what percentage of Sedan Deliveries were built as V8s?

I certainly assume its a low number.

My expert who has been restoring and selling parts for 55-57 models for the last 48 years said the tail gate emblem is the same for 6 and 8 cyl. sedan deliveries.....and a 1957 6 cylinder 150 sedan for that matter.
He also had a nice sedan delivery gate handle for sale.

GREAT!
Somehow I thought the Sedan Delivery was different....

Odd that there's no indication of the V8 from the rear but the hood has the V
Thanks again
One part I don't have to change!

Luckily my Tail T handle is a clean used piece that matches the nice used car look of the total SD... I've seen them on EBAY for mucho $$$
