If I look at my books correctly my 1933 Master Engine should have a Carter W-1 259 on it. Or a replacement model 569. From what I can see on the parts lists these models have 2 piece choke plates and the one I have on my engine is just 1 piece. There is no brass tag on it. It runs pretty good but if it is say for a 1937 engine it is not going to run as well as the 259 or 569 is it? Like I said I am not sure of the model of mine and I have looked a photos and tried to see where passage plugs are to identify my model but no luck. I am adding a picture of mine and if anyone has any idea what model it is I would appreciate the help on identification. The photo shows what appears to be a 569s. It does have a single choke plate. The change from double to single plate was 1938.

If you have occasion to remove the carb, a 569s will have 421 stamped on the bottom.

I am pretty sure the 569s has a flat accelerator pump shaft.Remove black cover on top of carb.Look at accelerator pump shaft. If it is flat it's a 569s.If it's round it's a 259.

The 569-S carburetor had a flat accelerator pump shaft, but so did other W1 carburetors as well.

While that is correct other items need to be checked to be certain it is in fact a 569S. According to an article printed in the G&D the 421 is also stamped on a 483S,515S,and 574S.

I pulled the carb and it was stamped 421 on the bottom of the base and it also had a flat shaft on the accelerator pump. It also had a written in white and kind of faded W-3018. I am thinking that might be a part number for a shop or something. Put a photo up. Again, thanks for helping me on this...
