Does anyone know any details that would help me identify the correct tire pump as supplied in the 1936 tool kit? Thanks.

Mike

Have you tried contacting the tech adviser for tools listed in the G & D?

Car or truck? The pumps are different.

The tool man has been contacted.
The pump is for a truck, I wonder why they would be different.
My title says 1930's not 1930. I am assuming the same pump was used for more than one year.
Thanks for the replies.

Mike,
I am not 100% positive but the tire pump increased in cylinder diameter as the amount of air in the tires increased. Since the truck tires are larger and higher pressure it seems that a larger/higher pressure pump might have been supplied. Didn't have time to check to know if I was thinking too far out of the box.

Chipper,
I know you are a scientist, and all that. I further realize that it is your job to try and confuse us. But these are Chevrolets after all.
Do you think the folks in the tool kit department would have been concerned about how long or how hard I have to pump to get some air in my tire? Besides, wouldn't I want a smaller pump to get higher pressure?
My head is starting to hurt. I'm going to bed now.

Mike

Mike sorry about the post. I did see that after I submitted my post and I could not change it.
