Hey Guys, I am restoring my 1922 touring. Ran into small problem. Engine really started to knock. Took off oil pan and 3 of the 4 crank bearing are shot. I have looked all over to try and find a replacement set... Having a hard time find some. ANYONE have any idea of where I could get a set of 4? I will need to measure the crank to see the size i would guess to see which bearing would fit???Also in attempting to find the reason for the knock I broke the oil pump. ( insert bad words!!!) Any I think I found an oil pump in the Filling Station book but, not a 100%. So I need an oil pump also if someone is selling. Last my oil pressure gauge is not working. Any idea of where to get an oil pressure gauge that only reads up to 10-15 lbs? All others that I have found start at 25 and go up to 80-100 which my car wouldn't even move the needle on those. THANKS for your help!!!

Oil pump will be the easy part, you can get them from either Gary Wallace Here or the Filling Station.
The main bearings are not like a modern engine where you can buy replacement bearings. The Bearings in these old cars are Babbitt bearings and are poured and then fitted to each journal. There may be someone local or you can find sources on the net. You also may be able to find a good set on eBay from time to time but you will need to shim each bearing for fitment. Until you pull the old bearings you also do not know if the crank journals are damaged. Didn't look to see if you are a VCCA member but if you are you can check outs Ray's engine rebuilding tutorial in the members section. Very well written and documented with many photos. Best of luck to you!

Correct and original oil gauges are on eBay a little cleanup and they work just fine. Here is one currently listed but you can find them a lot cheaper. Oil Gauge

Thanks Goldenwarrior for your help!!! I did find a oil gauge on ebay and got the oil pump from the filling station. My biggest hurdle is to find crank bearings. Upon inspection of the crank it looks good so I just need crank bearings.... Does anyone know of someone who makes them? Someone have a set to sell? If anyone know where or how I can get some it would be much appreciated. Thanks.

How many do you need? I may have a few in my spare parts bins.

3 of the 4 are bad. I would like to replace all 4 if possible but, if that is not an option then I do need 3. THANKS again.

I checked my spare parts and I have no main bearings and 2 Connecting rods with new Babbit. However, they will do you no good as both halves are poured to the rod and cap, replacing half buys you nothing. My suggestion is to pull the motor and have all new bearings poured and reamed to fit, this will provide yo a long lasting solution to your problem. Any thing else, in my opinion, is wasted time and money. Other more experienced folks here can chime in but that's my 2 cents.
