On my '32 Cabriolet on the driver side lowest door hinge, body half at the outer end, there are two small holes, evenly spaced. Could they have been made for mounting a radio antenna? I can't think of any other possible use for them. I didn't even notice them until after the car was painted. What kind of antenna can I get or fabricate for the early radio?

There is a modern antenna that might work in the two holes. Look at eBay item number 252212163988. Fits a jeep.

Thanks Roger, the Jeep antenna mounts on 1/2" holes. The holes in the Cabriolet door hinge are 1/4", outside the body, and if used for mounting an antenna the lead wire would have to somehow get inside the body to connect to the radio. I've read that a wire under the running board might work but I suspect the reception would be better with a wire hidden in one of the top bows.

Filling Station CR 181 is similar to the Jeep antenna but I can't use it because I do not want more holes in this car.
