Hello to all,
After a few years of taking apart my 36 Master I am finally ready to begin the rebuild process. I plan on using the original rear leaf springs as they appear to be pretty sound. The car sits level, doesn't sag and actually rode pretty well before the disassembly. My question is if I paint the actual spring part what should I do with the covers? Should they be painted as well or is their some other paint other than black that should be used? Opinions count here.

For a better response you might want to post your question in the 1933-36 forum instead of here in the judging forum.

From the factory the springs were not painted and the covers were the natural Tern steel silver cover.
Actually if the covers are removed there is no practicle way to reinstall them.
