Does anyone know where I can get parts for my banjo steering wheel? I am going to restore to driver quality, but need rubber horn portion, cap and center logo. I've visited online
kochssteeringwheels & quality restoration, but cannot seem to navigate the sites to find what I am looking for.

Thanks

Chevs of the 40's sells the rubber part 752705, but, from what I have seen, finding the other parts is difficult, hence the $1500 price tags on restored banjos....

Jim,
Thank you so much. I actually have the other parts, but they need to be cleaned up and repaired. I do think the Koch has the horn button with logo tag for a pretty penny.
Thank you again

When my father had the banjo wheel restored back in the late '70's/early 80's, he gave the restorer a Chevy optional steering wheel with a built-in spinner as payment. All I remember was it was a dark maroon color, and was in great shape.

I'm sure it would be worth a pretty penny these days.

Jim,

What your Father traded was a 1940 Spinner Wheel. The color was called Dubonnet Red for the wheel rim & horn button, with the hand grip in Ivory. 1940 was the only year to use this color & style, the 1941 were Ivory & shaped different. Todays market to buy a core & have it restored would be around $1,800.00. but they sure look good. Richard Gumm from Marietta, Ohio did mine & did a fantastic job. These are the only 2 years they were made.

Thank, Sparky...will have to tell my Dad that.

I think he picked it up in a flea market cheap back then, did not know what model it was for, but the spinner was something he hadn't seen before.
