On my '46 interior door handle, in order to open the door I have to push the handle downward...it
rests in an almost horizontal position, and then moves from, say, the 9:00 position down to the 7:00 position to open the door....on a '40 chevy, do the door handles move the same way and in the same direction? Anyone know? Thanks, Bob

Hey Bob; Maybye ask this question at the 37 to 42 area. I do know the mechanisms are diff but I'm not sure about the handle travel. Just thought I'd suggest you move the question as you are not getting any replys here. Cheers!!!
