does anyone know how to disassemble the accessory locking gas cap for 34/5 Chevrolet to re-chrome it?

from what I could see on a similar one on ebay, your going to have to drill out the rivet in the underside center and once that's done it may come apart. You might have to also drill out the 2 studs on either side ?

But thinking logically, the center rivet once drilled out should allow the lock and underside to come apart from the chromed top.

the one i have on my 35 master i had to drill a hole to release the ring holding the tumbler in if i could see a picture of your cap i may can find the measurements i had to cut a good cap to find all this out it is not made to come apart . hope this helps
