Iam looking for any imformation on older chevy race cars from the early 30's to the mid 40's. Any pictures would be very helpful. I think I remember some in the G&D .But you know how the memory goes some time. Thanks Mark47

You might want to look up Bob Dudall, "the license plate man," right there in DAVIS.....

For sure he'd have 'drag race' info. I not sure about roundy-round racing.

Bill.

Hello All and mark47,

It just so happens my friend in Atlanta owns a 1928 Indianapolis high wheel race car. It has a four cylinder chevy engine and chevy transmission.
He has owned it for many years and it was built by Virgil Slocumb and that name is inscribed in the cowl of the car.
He is retired from General Motors and is willing to talk to you if you wish.
He has additional information which he will share.
If you wish to contact him please e-mail me.
