While thumbing through my favourite book "Sixty years of Chevrolet" (Yeah I know, I've had it a while) trying to find out the number of '39 four door sedans produced it occurred to me that George Dammann's sales figures might be US only. Our NZ cars were Canadian sourced CKD and the supposedly rare four door flat back sedans are not unknown here although not common.I know of at least 3 locally both M85 and MD and if they are so rare how did they find their way to a tiny little country at the bottom of the Pacific Ocean unless Canada made more that were not counted for the books figures.

You are correct. The numbers are for cars assembled in the US only.
