Does anyone know where one could purchase the drain hoses for the rear windows (left & right) for a Fleetline Areo sedan? I don't see them listed anywhere, I saw them a couple of years ago in the Chev's of the 40s brochure.
Thanks

Tom: No long available at Chev's of the 40's???? How about "The Filling Station" in Oregon - ??? Here's their web address. http://www.fillingstation.com/ I presume you can check their catalogue on line, or get an email address or a phone number from their web site. Good luck!! :) :) Bill.

Here in Fort Worth, TX., we have a company called Texas Rubber. You take them an old rubber part and they will duplicate it. They are located 217 Beach Street. Call 817-831-0301, but they will need to look at your old rubber piece.

Since the drain hoses are not visible, I used clear plastic hose/tubing from Lowes on my '40. I do not remember what size I bought but it was somewhat smaller than the nipple on the tray and I heated the tubing with a hair drier so it would stretch easily when installed on the upper end. The original rubber hoses were molded so that they necked down and would fit in the smaller hole at the bottom of the quarter panel. The hose must be small enough so the it can be installed in the clip that holds it in the lower drain hole otherwise the hose can slip up out of the hole and drain in the lower quarter panel.

Hi guys, thanks for all of the responses. I was at Home Depot yesterday and while shopping for a home project came across air conditioner hose, $4 for 10' I'll use that.
Thanks again,

Hi Chef, my hoses did not have any clips. Don't know what value they would be once you clamp the top to fitting on the pan. I cut my hoses 23" they come through the floor pan & are not visible from the outside.
See you larter,
