There are many reasons for all of us to join the old vehicle hobby. Our club offers a variety of services that make belonging to the VCCA a pleasant and life-long memory. Touring, Costumes, Model Cars, Tech advice and Judging all are a part of the club.

Judging is a way to make sure that our club and it's members maintain the misson statement of the Preservation and Restoration of Chevrolet. Our judging system would not be a successful part of our club it it were not for the volunteers who participate in the program. Regions taking on the responsibility of hosting a meet, appointing a meet chair, chief judge and all of the other duties necessary. Here is an interesting statistic of VCCA Judgin since we kept records starting in 1999:
888 people have volunteered since 1999. They have collectively particpated in 3,318 events. That's 3.76 events per person.

cont' Since 2002, when we introduced HPOCF, we have had 605 vehicles achieve at least an oval.

Since 2008, when we introduced CDPC, we have had 266 vehicles achieve an oval.

Thank you to all 888 of you and the many more who will step up and help out. thanku

And being a judge is a rewarding experience. You start out by judging one part of the vehicle, like the exterior of the vehicle. You look for fit, finish, wavy panels etc. Judging the engine compartment is probably the hardest to judge. Everyone that I have worked with in the judging process in the VCCA have been great. If you haven't been part of this process, you should give it a try.
