Hi,
I know this has probably been discussed before but I need clarification on where to find my chassis ID (stamp)
The car is a 1948 aerosedan that is right hand drive and was originally as far as i am aware exported to South Africa from new.
The car is now in the UK and I am trying to locate this VIN/ID number
I guess from what I have learnt so far it should be stamped on the A Post but I am going to have to remove a lot of paint if it is under there somewhere.
Basically is there a exact location of this stamping on the doorpost to save me time and expense in locating it and also less damage to paintwork that I have to remove.
If it was originally Right hand drive would they have stamped the number on the opposite doorpost???
I need to find this number to enable me to register the car in the UK
Any info greatly appreciated
Cheers
Rich
