I have been a member for a little while and have spent most of my time doing Q and A about my 27 Touring Car. I just noticed this section on newer Chevy's (Da what can I say I am slow reader). I have a 1969 Corvette Survivor that I've had for about 2 years. One owner fully documented 427, 390 Hp, all options offer in 69,all original (except New OEM chrome cover on the engine) with complete history including meeting the Sales Man the sold it, to the Machine Shop Owner that made the Mags for Carol Shelby that were put on by the Dealer. It had been garaged for 34 years with 48,560 miles on it when I got it. I was the first person to remove the T tops and the rear window has never been out. I would love to read about other Vet Owners Cars. By the way my documents are all from the owner, it belonged to my Wife's Cousin (a Blonde) who thought that a T-Top was something you wore under you blouse.

Jerry,
Welcome to the "newer" forums. Ha ha haha

A couple of us also have vettes. Mine is a '66.
I'm heading on a trip next month along Route 66. I figured that that was appropriate. :-)

Out of the 8 families going on the trip, 5 of them are Corvettes. All VCCA members.

Jerry,
Your Corvette sounds great. It's nice to have the documentation and history of the car. Mine is a 66 convertible and have traced its history back to 1978. It was sold new in the Norfolk, VA area. Complete restoration was done in 2000 and we sure enjoy driving and showing it.

Bill- your trip sounds fantastic, have a great time!

Jerry,

Your Corvette sounds great. bana2 I too have an older Chev, 1929, and a 1969 Corvette.

I ask most questions for my '29 on here, and most questions for the Vette at c3VR.com. C3VR is a site dedicated to C3 Vettes. Lots of information there is you do a search, and like here, everyone is glad to help. Cheers to your great choice of cars! beermugs

And Bill, your 1966 is beautiful. C2's are my favorite but a bit out of my fixed income range. (read that as the wife wouldn't be too pleased with me.)

Jim,
If my mapping skills are on-point, it looks like we'll be spending 2 nights just a couple of miles from you next month. Feel free to stop by and say "Hi".

Santa Anita Inn. May 22nd and 23rd.
