I find it odd that 10,000,021 would be a show piece... were all 21+ cars paraded around? The same man is in both pictures, the car has the same options (spot light) but the decals are different... is it the same car? And is this the same car a few years later on moving day? It was taken in 1930 and shows my father-in- law's Whippet and his dad's 1929 Chevrolet. According to my father-in-law's recollections, his dad's car was notorious for snapping axles. I wanted to post it here earlier but could not find it. We found it the other day looking for something else. Best Regards, Pat

Chipper ChatMaster - 15,000 Joined: Nov 2001 Posts: 19,758 Likes: 63 The Great State of TEXAS	Pat, While the photo may have been taken in 1930 (haven't been able to blow up the license plate so I can read the year) the Chevrolet pictured is a 1927 Landau Sedan. The middle of the three sedans produced during the '27 model year. It is definitely a Canadian model with the nickle plated radiator shell and wood spoke wheels on a closed car. FYI, the US closed cars had aluminum shells and disc wheels. The open cars wood wheels. Just the opposite in Canada. BTW the other wheels were available at extra cost. Have no idea the year of the Whippet. Not nearly as interested in it as the Chevy. How Sweet the roar of a Chevy four!

His photo was taken in 1942, three years before he purchased it. The car photo was taken this November, 71 years later. He was 28 in the photo. The car turned 80 when the 2014's came out. It sat in a field for over 50 years and has taken me 8 years to restore. I suppose we can call that a time warp. At the same time, I'd like to thank everyone here who has helped me over the years. If you were painting a dark blue '37 standard tourer (which I am quite aways from being ready to do) which way would you lean for the wheel color(s)? The standard tourer must have been toward the less expensive, lesser decorated cars I would think. Ardie RD/B
