I have a question about front spindles will early 50's truck spindles and drums work on 48 front car.

Ok thanks Kevin,I know someone that just got a 48 chevy coupe and it had been sitting a while,the front drums were locked up and he beat on them so much that the bearings will not go back in...Thanks for the info....

I've had them sit for years with the same problem....The solution I always used was to pull the vehicle a few yards with another vehicle with a tow hook on pavement...You'd hear a "pop" and it'd be freed up again...but it wasn't the bearings...Think my problem was the parking brake shoe/cylinder was stuck and you just need to get it to skid along enough to force them to move back...
