I have a piece of 3/16"x1"x3" steel bent to a profile matching the inner mounting area of a rear '31 fender, and with a hole for a mounting bolt. Only have one in misc parts pile. Does this indeed mount vertically at inner top of fender to act as a stiffener? If so, I assume there was one both sides? I see parts book lists an "iron" part for some commercial vehicles, but nor sure where or what that is.
