Can anyone point me to documentation on the correct orientation of the 3 bar spinner option for full wheel covers on a '58 Impala? Since this accessory was also available for '57, instructions for either year would probably be applicable.

I know someone here knows!

Thanks folks!

Hi Mike,

Interesting that this same question was just posted on Chevytalk - and there are photos of what is correct and incorrect.

The spinner points for the 1958 wheelcover "do not align" with the stamped detail of the three designs on the wheelcover.

They are not in phase - but rather out of phase with the wheelcover detail.

Hope that helps.

Thank you for the correct answer! I got several replies and some were just wrong. I believe I have them installed correctly now. The installation template specifies holes that allow the spinner to be either "in" or "out" of phase with the vanes on the wheel cover, but did not include a picture of how the end result should look. They look best when installed correctly!

I love happy endings! :)

For future reference, if you have a drilled wheelcover, sometimes you get lucky and can rotate the spinner until the alignment is perfect.

And you can swap from one wheelcover to another.
