I have some questions concerning Wind Wings for a 1931 Chevrolet Cabriolet. As you know the Cabriolet is classified as a closed car, since it has windows that can be opened and closed.
Q1. The FillingStation sells "Universal Wind Wing brackets for a number of Chevrolet Model Years, including the 1931. Are the "closed" car brackets okay for the 31 Cabriolet?
Q2. Where are these Wind Wing Brackets mounted (Windshield)?
Q3. This question may belong in the Judging Forum, but want to know if the Judges would deduct points for reproduction brackets, as Wind Wings were offered as an accessory by Chevrolet, but I have been unable to locate genuine Chevrolet Bowtie brackets.
Thanks

Can't help you with Q1 & Q2. Perhaps someone more knowledgeable will chime in here and answer your questions.

There is no official Chevrolet accessory wind wings for the Cabriolet or Landau Phaeton. Not aware of an aftermarket either. The closed car brackets require both a top and bottom window frame for mounting. The Roadster and Phaeton wind wing brackets are for a much smaller arm. Sorry but you are out of luck on genuine wind wings for your Cabriolet.
