Well Jerry, It's a little confusing but: The 1927 Salesman's Desk Reference says the Sedan (4-door) has a rear door pocket (singular) but dose not say which door. The same '27 Desk Reference book says the Imperial Landau (4-door) has rear door pockets (pural). There is a photo in the same Desk Reference of the rear seat interior taken through the right rear door and the RR door has a pocket (left side not visible). You can see the left rear quarter panel window crank indicating the car photographed was a Sedan since the Imperial Landau didn't have rear quarter windows. Does any of this make sence?

Since there were three different 4 doors in 1927 the answer depends on which body do you have. Standard Sedan, Landau Sedan or Imperial Landau?

thanks all for your input. chipper, the car that i am talking about is a standard 4 door. i also have a two door coach and it has a passenger door pocket. i installed this kit myself. came from lebaron boney. hope this info helps others and to get my 4 door correct. so with this said, am i correct in saying the standard 4 door had 1 pocket on the rear passenger side door?

Jerry,

According to the verbage and photograph listed in the 1927 Salesman's Desk Reference, the answer to your question is "Yes". The picture shown is of a Standard 4-door sedan, not a Landau Sedan or an Imperial Sedan, and that picture shows the door pocket in the right rear door. The picture also shows that the vehicle has Quarter windows and no Landau Irons making it a Standard sedan.
